Like Hawn, I'm not really a country music fan (though I don't hate it either), but I do have a high opinion of Dolly Parton as a person. I live about 90 miles from her main home, and I found out she is responsible for a program that gives one new book a month to children in her county (and the program has been extended to the whole state of Tennessee) from birth to age 5 or 6 -- somewhere around there. I hear llamas are good to have in a herd of sheep because they will protect the sheep from wolves and coyotes and such. They can kick them to kingdom come, apparently. Read more...
I remember coming to the site (though I don't remember how I found it in the first place), and remember first seeing some cute guy on cam, but what kept me coming back was the conversation which was often witty, lighthearted, and just plain fun, especially when no one was on cam. And then there were the forum boards with all sorts of interesting and sometimes even thoughtful and thought-provoking posts.
I also remember one time that I said I was tired and just wanted to go to sleep, and some guy misinterpreted that as me using that as a euphemism for trying to commit suicide. In reality, I was just up way too late past my normal bedtime and needed some quality snoozing, but the guy kept hounding me and telling me I should at least call my family and tell them I loved them before I checked out. Sheesh.
